I'm a huge basketball fan. My dad's from Indiana and I grew up watching it daily college and pro. So now at the ripe of 48 I'm on Twitter which I have so much fun on because you can follow the beat writers and other fans you find interesting and they'll post videos and links. Well I've been on there awhile and have some folks I talk to daily and we got in this off sports topic today about the human cell and the solar system and it prompted this two dialogue and I ended up sharing about my aunt her dreaming of her death and saying it wasn't horrible and my mother's drowning then seeing angels and coming back.
It was the time to share it, these sports fans are all younger and they are crazy and fanatical and funny but they like the Brooklyn Nets like I do and they responded well but I could feel that it was a more polite than a real understanding except for Lupo who's always been nice we call him the Jesus of NetsDaily lol
But I instantly thought of this site because here I can speak of it and others speak of it and it's normal. I wish it was normal everywhere.
love,
Fran

Comment by Sandy (administrator) on March 1, 2013 at 8:45pm I wish that we could share more easily everywhere too, Fran. I'm glad that you found an opportunity to share and that they were civil with you.

Comment by Leroy Carney III on March 4, 2013 at 7:19pm I agree I wish everyone were more freely willing to share with everything and not so worried about being put down or taken advantage of..... or whatever.....I also think there will be much more understanding soon as well.....and I'm looking forward to it!:) Thank you for sharing Fran!
Comment by Sandy (administrator) on March 4, 2013 at 9:42pm Leroy, after being burned for sharing, it's difficult to want to go through that again. It is because of those intolerant behaviors, that experiencers are not willing to share everything so freely.
When people learn to control their hostility toward hearing anything different than what they "think" is so, and become more open to the truth of our experiences, then we may see more experiencers sharing again.
Comment by PAULA KASTELEC on March 11, 2013 at 9:05pm Ive been burned for sharing also but I have decided that I was talking to closed minds..People fear what they dont understand, and some dont want to get out of their comfort zone..Seek people who share your thoughts .There is still much to learn..Dont try explaining to those who dont want to know..............
Comment by Sandy (administrator) on March 11, 2013 at 11:11pm Thank you, Paula, for your support. I feel sad that you and I, and so many other experiencers had to get burned for sharing our experiences. In the past, I have tried to share on a couple of websites that were "supposed" to be open and welcoming toward experiencers, only to find out that they were only baiting us so that certain members who took over the forum, and wanted to dictate what was "real", could judge our experiences according to their belief. Then they aggressively harassed us and tried to silence us from sharing if they didn't like our experience. It was a horrendous website, so I and many other experiencers left.
As an administrator of this forum, I will try my best not to let that happen on this site while I'm here. I know how deeply that hurts to have people who don't understand our experiences to judge us in ignorance. This site is for supporting experiencers and keeping it a safe and friendly place to share. Glauco and I are trying our best to keep it that way.
