Thank you, Sandy!  In Northern California, we still have a few old-growth stands of the Coastal Redwood, Sequoia Sempervirens.  In the presence of these majestic trees, I've always felt an appreciation of the Holy.  I hope these trees are spread everywhere!!!

I hope so too, Denis.  I've never seen a huge, majestic tree except in photographs.  They must be absolutely breathtaking to see up close.

John, I've read the 1st two chapters of your book sample.  You write extremely well and I can imagine the sights, smell and sounds of the war surrounding you.  I have to admit that war makes my heart cry.  Everything about war is so sad to me.  I wish that all people would learn to live peacefully together.  So, it's a bit difficult for me to read the details of your experience, but I will continue reading more in the next day or two.  Your experience is none like I've read before and I am curious about what you discovered about the afterlife. Thank you for sharing it with us.
